To launch his latest Michael Kors Collection boutique in London’s Old Bond Street—a street known for its history of housing some of the world’s most famous luxury brand names—Michael Kors hosted VIP guests to an inside look into the store, as well as a cocktail party and dinner. This is the first store concept for his Collection line, making it a historic event for the American designer.
“We are very excited to be debuting our new Michael Kors Collection store concept on one of the most luxurious, storied streets in the world,” began Michael Kors. “The new store design puts an emphasis on warm textures and a sense of residential ease that shines a spotlight on the workmanship and design of Michael Kors Collection apparel and accessories.”
The boutique is located inside a six-story Georgian townhouse and reminiscent of Kors’ personal homes in New York City and in Florida, exuding the elegance and luxury that the brand is known for. To emphasize this aesthetic, high-end materials are used, such as blackened steel, raw concrete, gold Calcutta marble and oxidized maple—all of which are Kors’ favorites—as well as linen, shearling and leather, coming together with an overall neutral palette.
To celebrate the store opening, Kors hosted VIP guests for a tour, followed by a cocktail party and dinner at Beck inside Brown’s Hotel. Notable attendees included Kate Moss, Gemma Chan, Naomie Harris, Jourdan Dunn, Brittany Xavier and Caro Daur, among several others.
