Michael Kors Fall 2019 Show For New York Fashion Week Brings Out Laundry List Of A-List Attendees
One of the most iconic figures in American (and international) fashion, Michael Kors, presented his Fall 2019 collection during New York Fashion Week.The collection brought out his eclectic but always elegant style, as well as a convergence of different worlds of entertainment, such as film, dance, theater and of course, fashion. The early morning show at Cipriani Wall Street was transformed into a real ’70s inspired discotheque, complete with a sparkly gold curtain, multiple hanging disco balls from the ceiling and even a surprise performance from Barry Manilow, who had the entire, multi-generational room singing his hit song “Copacabana.” It was all very reminiscent of New York circa the Studio 54 days, with ruffles, feathers, fringe and everything in between making appearances on the runway, as well as structured silhouettes, patchwork and of course, a little bit of glitter. Supermodel sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid walked the show, as did celebrity supermodel offspring Kaia Gerber, Dilone and Sara Grace Wallerstedt. Celebrities in attendance included Priyanka Chopra; Kerri Washington; Regina King; Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas with daughter Carys Zeta Douglas; Anna Wintour; Kate Hudson; Olivia Wilde; Molly Sims and Doutzen Kroes, among many others.
