Surprise Pitbull Concert at Brickell City Centre Opening
Mr. 305 ushers in a new era in downtown Miami.

To open their new three-story indoor-outdoor shopping complex, Brickell City Centre called on Mr. 305 himself. That’s right, Pitbull gave an unexpected show to kick off the evening’s festivities with a 30-minute set playing his best. Afterwards, 1,500 of Miami’s VIPs gathered to celebrate the grand opening of anchor Saks Fifth Avenue, which was open for both browsing and serious shopping.
New York legend Suzanne Bartsch activated the mall, which guests got a chance to peruse, although most stores are not open just yet. Champagne was flowing as guests celebrated, danced and enjoyed pop-up performances from a roving crew of entertainers in costume.
The Brickell City Centre development is home to EAST Miami, the new downtown hotel that has become the hottest spot in town, two residential towers REACH and RISE and two office towers. The three story retail complex is anchored by a stunning new Saks Fifth Avenue that has an exceptional men’s department and dotted with nearly 70 retail stores including Audemar Piguet, Intermix, Mirto, Westime, Chopard, Adolpho Dominguez, Giuseppe Zannoti, and Armani that will open in phases in the coming weeks.
