Kim Jones is going back to his own name. The British designer, who spent seven years as artistic director of Dior Men, announced on October 12, 2026, that his Kim Jones label will launch for fall 2027, with clothing made predominantly in Japan and leather goods made in Italy. It arrives in mid-2027, exclusively at kimjones.com.

A first store follows in October 2027 at Central Yards in Hong Kong, with more stores planned across Asia and distribution through selected retail partners. The collection is designed with “versatility at its core” at a “considered” price point, and it aims to offer “a broader wardrobe unrestricted by traditional categories” — a notable shift for a designer best known for menswear.

“After many years working with incredible houses and collaborators, it feels like the right moment to do something under my own name again,” said Jones. “This brings together the things I’ve always been interested in — fashion, art and design — and gives me the space to work with people I admire and explore new ideas. I’m excited about what comes next.”

It isn’t his first label. Jones started a namesake brand in 2003 after graduating from Central Saint Martins and ran it for eight seasons before closing it in 2008, when he became creative director at Dunhill. Louis Vuitton menswear followed, then Dior Men — where he designed a capsule with Lewis Hamilton — and for several years he designed Fendi’s women’s collections at the same time.

The Asia-first plan is no surprise. A large part of Dior Men’s sales came from the region during his tenure, and since leaving Dior in early 2025 he has worked on a capsule for Aman, a collaboration with Chinese electric carmaker Avatr and the Areal premium outerwear line with Bosideng. “I just think Asia’s got the pulse at the moment,” he told WWD last year.

He told The New York Times he didn’t want to “go and look at another archive.” After two decades of building other people’s houses, the most anticipated thing Jones can design is one with no history to answer to.
