Actor Michael Chiklis to Host Robert Zuckerman Exhibition Debut

On Tuesday, September 13th, GreensLedge Financial will hold a special cocktail reception where it will debut its newest exhibition of photographs from the talented Hollywood photographer Robert G. Zuckerman. Emmy Award winning Gotham star Michael Chiklis will host the affair.

GreensLedge chose to install 17 photographs from Zuckerman, a majority coming from two bodies of work: “Time Machine,” which portrays time travel with black and white negatives ranging from the 1970s to 1980s; the second, “Wonderism,” which features more recent images of work that seems ordinary but is rendered extraordinary through the photographic process.

The famed Hollywood photographer has left the celebrity scene in recent years, now honing in on his passion for educating others on his genetic disease, ABPD (adult polyglucosan body disease), which has left him a paraplegic. The debilitating disease has not stopped Zuckerman from doing what he loves and carrying out his passion, which is showcased in a recent documentary film, Life Through a Lens. The 11-minute film will debut on the night of the exhibition, which shows how someone with a debilitating disease can still prevail in doing everyday tasks. The film has received high praise, having screened in four film festivals throughout the country so far. After the screening, a discussion will follow with Dr. Jeffrey Levenson of the APBD Research Foundation.

Zuckerman is thrilled to have his work showcased in the financial office. “While I always enjoy having my work displayed in a gallery, this is even better because I like having my work up for the long-term, going through the entire life of a place and its history,” he said. “In my work, I strive to show the beauty and wonder of our world, and the richness of life around us.”
