Haute 100: Steph Curry Stars in New Kids Foot Locker Commercial
On Wednesday, Kids Foot Locker debuted a new holiday commercial starring Golden States Warrior star and Haute 100 lister Stephen Curry. The 30-second commercial titled “Game Film” opens with two young kids touring a practice facility when they discover Curry studying game film in a plush reclining chair.
The MVP is seen telling the adolescent sports fanatics, who are wearing the latest Under Armour gear from Kids Foot Locker, that they look just like the pros. The two young boys noticed Curry watching TV and drinking chocolate shakes. Curry tells them he’s really hard at work, watching game film, similar to homework, and drinking a protein shake. He is interrupted by another trainer letting him know his hot tub is ready, or as Curry puts it – physical therapy.
In a statement regarding the new ad, Curry said, “I’m excited to be in my second Kids Foot Locker commercial during this holiday season. I had a great time filming this spot and showing a different side to basketball that people don’t get to see – but it’s hard work!”
Stacy Cunningham, Executive Vice President of Marketing for Foot Locker, said, “We’re excited to launch our second commercial celebrating the holiday season by offering our young customers the freshest footwear, apparel and gear. Working with Stephen Curry is always wonderful and ‘Game Film’ is a fun way to look at some of the preparation that goes into game day by a pro basketball star.”
The commercial debuts online and via broadcast Thursday.
