From exhibitions at the Legion of Honor to the San Francisco Giants’ opening day at AT&T Park, there is no shortage of fabulous happenings taking place in San Francisco in March and April. We’ve rounded up 10 events that will put the zing In your spring!

March 7- May 31
Botticelli to Braque: Masterpieces from the National Galleries of Scotland
Spanning more than 400 years of artistic accomplishments, this exhibition highlights works by many of the greatest painters from the Renaissance to the early 20th century. Enjoy this rare presentation of some of the most iconic images in the history of Western art from such names as Sandro Botticelli and Claude Monet as they travel to San Francisco from the National Galleries of Scotland.

High Style: The Brooklyn Museum Costume Collection
Get lost in the glamour and sophistication of High Style, one of the world’s preeminent costume collections. Presented exclusively on the West Coast at the Legion of Honor, the exhibition provides a rare opportunity to view the evolution of fashion from 1910 to 1980 through stunning costumes, accessories and artwork from the Brooklyn Museum Costume Collection. Make sure you keep an eye out for Schiaperelli’s iconic surrealist necklace as well as Adrian’s 1949 tiger-striped silk ball gown.

Don Quixote at San Francisco Ballet
The classic favorite returns! Helgi Tomasson and Yuri Possokhov’s thrilling and visually resplendent Don Quixote features some of the most virtuosic dancing in the classical repertory and a dazzling array of costumes by the late Tony Award winner Martin Pakledinaz.

Macy’s Flower Show presents Art in Bloom
Welcome Spring with the annual Macy’s Flower Show, a gift to the city of San Francisco and surrounding Bay Area, March 22 through April 4, 2015. Art in Bloom, this year’s floral extravaganza, will give spectators a chance to experience multi-dimensional artistic floral displays featuring thousands of varieties of flowers. The annual two-week San Francisco Spring celebration will include guest speakers and special in-store events in addition to the botanic blooms.

Erdem at Saks Fifth Avenue
Erdem’s creative genius and founder, Erdem Moralioğlu, will make an appearance at Saks Fifth Avenue in Union Square on Thursday, March 26, the day after the San Francisco Opera Guild and Saks present Fashion Forward: An Evening with Erdem at Pier 27 to show the designer’s 2015 Fall/ Winter collection. In celebration of the first San Francisco runway show from the designer, he will be available to meet and mingle with the public from 1-3 p.m. at Saks while the trunk show collection will be available for viewing on Friday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Make sure you get on the list for the fashion extravaganza by RSVPing to (415) 438-5411 by March 16.

Doug Hall: The Terrible Uncertainty of the Thing Described at the San Francisco Art Institute
The San Francisco Art Institute and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art will jointly present Doug Hall’s seminal large-scale installation The Terrible Uncertainty of the Thing Described in SFAI’s Walter and McBean Galleries for the first time in 25 years. Bringing together powerful moving images of nature in turmoil, physically imposing sculptural elements, and startling bolts of electricity that periodically extend from the coil, the installation is a potent reminder that we are subject to the forces of nature, as well as the influence of media.

34th San Francisco Ballet Auxiliary Fashion Show
Neiman Marcus Union Square presents this always-anticipated event, which takes place at The Fairmont San Francisco. Fashionistas can ooh and aah during the runway show of Spring 2015 Designer Collections curated by Neiman Marcus Fashion Director Ken Downing. This lively event kicks off with a cocktail reception followed by the show, live auction and raffle.

48th Annual Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival
This annual festival is one of California’s most prominent celebrations of Asian traditions and said to be the second largest of it’s kind outside of Washington, D.C. Held at one of three remaining Japantowns in the United States, the celebration spans two consecutive weekends of performances, crafts, food, martial arts, exhibitions and a colorful parade will be held on Sunday, April 20th starting from the Civic Center to Japantown from 1 p.m.- 3 p.m.

San Francisco Giants Opening Day
It seems like just yesterday that the San Francisco Giant’s defeat the Kansas City Royals in the seventh game of the World Series. However, time marches on, and we’re deep into spring training. On April 13 the San Francisco Giants will open their season at AT&T Park with a three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

58th San Francisco International Film Festival
This year’s festival takes place at the Sundance Kabuki Cinemas, Castro Theatre, Landmark’s Clay Theatre and the Roxie Theater in San Francisco and the Pacific Film Archive in Berkeley. Held each spring for 15 days, SFIFF is an extraordinary showcase of cinematic discovery and innovation in one of the country’s most beautiful cities, featuring nearly 200 films and live events, 14 juried awards with nearly $40,000 in cash prizes, and upwards of 100 participating filmmaker guests. On April 28 & 29, the San Francisco Film Society and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art have teamed up to co-present the west coast premiere of acclaimed filmmaker and artist Miranda July’s performance work New Society. The innovative theatrical experiment that illustrates the myriad ways societies form, cohere, change, fracture and maybe persevere over time will show at 8 p.m. at the Brava Theater Center.
