Sarah Jessica Parker made Manolo Blahnik a household name in Sex and the City and now she’s hoping to do the same with a different shoe line—her own!
Glamour recently unveiled images of the actress’ new footwear collection and we have a feeling that these classic, yet quirky styles are going to be popping up all over NYC. The chic line, appropriately named SJP, will be sold exclusively at Nordstrom beginning Feb. 28.
With its classic rounded toe, this is the perfect shoe to wear with a flowy sundress in the summer or a monochrome black ensemble in the fall. “This shoe is polite and old-fashioned,” Parker explains. “It suits a wide range of women with its simple silhouette.” ($350)
Looking for something to really show off your gams? Parker says she designed “The Etta” “for short ladies like me!” Pair these beauties with a LBD and prepare to turn heads. “I made the T-strap lower to lengthen the leg,” she reveals. ($425)
Naturally Parker needed to name one of her shoes after the character that rocketed her to footwear fame, Carrie Bradshaw. “Carrie is obviously one of my favorite people, and this is an ode to her,” she admits. “It’s a strong shoe that can be worn for day and night.” ($355)
For running errands in the West Village—or when your feet just can’t handle another night of stilettos—a good pair of ballet flats is key. “I imagine every woman in these,” Parker states. “They’re comfy and chic, especially with the low-cut front.” ($195)
Add downtown flair to any outfit from denim shorts to wrap dresses with Parker’s open-toed lace up booties. “This is for the girl who doesn’t want to wear a traditional ladylike heel but wants a bit of height,” she explains. ($485)
