While dining at the Standard Hotel last night, I ran into an old friend named Daria. Daria used to work for Krel Levy and what a pleasant surprise to run into her in Miami, considering she moved to New York last year.

She filled me in on life, including her position with Scope Art Fair, known for its contemporary art-filled tent that is usually situated in Midtown in front of Target.

When telling me about Basel, which believe it or not, is just two months away, she broke the news to me that this satellite art fair that is the home to 125 galleries across the world, is officially relocating to Miami Beach. Its new home will be on 10th and Ocean Drive.

Some more Scope scoop that I received is that VH1 and Scope will be doing their annual party again (last year “it girl” collaborative DJ. Mia Moretti with violinist Caitlin Moe rocked the house). This year there will also be an additional VH1 beach party with a concert tied in to the mix. There is more! The Mourning Family Foundation Gala will be held on December 2nd  in the tent. Mark your calendars and for more information contact: Daria@scope-art.com.
