Spanish creator of fine porcelain art, Lladró has opened its new boutique in New York City on Madison Avenue.

As one of the first Spanish companies to open a boutique in Manhattan, Lladró will soon celebrate its 60th anniversary. According to LuxuryLifestyle, Lladró chose to move its flagship building on 57th street “to a more privileged location at the heart of the city’s luxury shopping district, surrounded by the brands that, like Lladró, set the new trends in art, fashion and design.”

Lladró also has plans to open ten additional stores by the end of 2012 in destinations like Dubai, Istanbul and Myanmar. Lladró is currently distributed in more than 120 countries, including the U.S., Japan, China and India.

The new boutique, which was designed by Jaime Hayon, features a “fresh, modern look” that shows off the Lladró range. The New York Times reports that there are a “medley of oblongs in glass and marble” and company president Rosa Lladró said of the interior, “White is the new dominant color, but it actually contains many shades of white. In fact, far from being sterile, it is nice and warm.”

The new boutique is located at 500 Madison Avenue (52nd Street).
