Haute Event – Hermes hosts weekend long Festival of Crafts in SF 9/20 – 9/24

News | September 17, 2012

Hermes has long been venerated as one of the pure, uncorrupted, mainly family owned, and if not the best luxury houses of France.  Known for their dedication to created timeless luxury goods that range from leatherwork to silk to jewelry and crystal, Hermes’ signature orange boxes and bags are always a delightful gift to receive or give.

To commemorate and educate, Hermes is throwing a three city tour called  Festival des Metiers or Festival of Crafts to highlight the workmanship of the men and women behind the iconic French luxury brand.  Each stop on the three city tour will allow visitors to observe master craftsmen at work and get a “behind the scenes” look at how everything from bags to watches are made.

Luckily for San Franciscans, this unique opportunity for visitors to experience first hand the consummate skills of leather making, silk engraving, jewelry making and many more crafts is going to start on Thursday, September 20th at 11AM and last until September 24, 4PM.
