Haute 100 NY Update: Jay-Z Drops Secret Sauce Lawsuit, 40/40 Club May Be Sued
The 40/40 club’s lawsuit against ex-chef Mark Shand has been dropped, but the saucy intrigue may continue. Shand told the New York Post last night that Jay-Z’s upscale sports lounge was no longer pursuing a $1.5 million lawsuit over stolen recipes. Shand had been hired earlier this year to redesign 40/40′s food menu as part of a $10 million club makeover. Reportedly, the sticking point was Shand leaving the restaurant with his recipe for spicy chicken wing sauce.
