20,000 Guinness’s under the sea just became a reality.  Guinness partnered with London based architectural firm, Jump Practice to create the interior for a submarine, which looks like a bubbly futuristic space pod stocked with pints of the Irish stout-a sauced seafarer’s heaven.

Recently, the submarine descended into the Baltic Sea from the Stockholm harbor where it is docked.  Lucky winners of the “Sea Experience,” which celebrates Guinness’ 250th anniversary, were drunken sailors as they downed pints and cruised the depths of the Baltic around Sweden, maybe observing a mermaid or two through the portholes.

The interior is covered with rubber disks resembling bubbles; some of the disks are empty and replaced with LED lights or holders for pints of Guinness.  The submarine represents Guinness’ promotional tagline “Alive Inside” as it strives to create “a dynamic, flowing experience.”
