San Francisco Celebrates Earth Day At Civic Center Plaza

News | April 20, 2012

Going green is always haute. That is why San Francisco is celebrating Earth Day in a big way on April 20 at the Civic Center Plaza. The celebration will feature live music, eco-friendly artists and a showcase of San Fran’s hautest sustainable chefs.

Pocket-sized rockstars, and San Francisco natives known as “The Worlds Youngest Rock Band,” will get the crowd revved up at 1:30 p.m. Then, Lafayette native Forrest Day will take to the Earth Mother Stage at 3:15 and keep the crowd moving for mother nature with his personal blend of rock, reggae and hip-hop.

All that dancing will definitely work up an appetite. Renowned raw-food pioneers and chefs will be on hand to share insider tips on how to make the best italian dress and chocolate food truffles.

The festival will also feature an array of yoga, meditation, DIY green projects and eco-speakers sharing tips for both going-green newbies as well as environmental consciousness connoisseurs.
