On Thursday, April 5, the East Side House Settlement hosted the 13th Annual Gala Preview of the 2012 New York International Auto Show at The Jacob Javits Center, in partnership with Fiat.

Guests at the exclusive event were treated to a special private preview of the entire New York International Auto Show before it opened to the public, including a first look at the new Fiat lineup. Head of FIAT Brand North America, Tim Kuniskis arrived driving the much buzzed about 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth and kicked off the exciting live auction of the “small but wicked” car. Many other items were up for live and silent auction including a New York Giants helmet signed by Eli Manning and a “Best of Italy” trip from Indagare.

DJ David Chang provided the beats for the night as guests noshed on passed hors d’oeuvres and sipped speciality “Scorpion Sting” cocktails inspired by the Fiat 500 Abarth.

Proceeds from the Gala will support East Side House Settlement’s highly successful college preparation programs, which are crucial in promoting education and employment for the residents of the South Bronx and surrounding communities.

The evening was chaired by Philip L. Yang, Joan P. Young, Chris LaSusa, and Elia Zois and the benefit committee is chaired by Fe Fendi and Mariana Zois.
