Van Geest Designs 60-Meter Superyacht Inspired By Traditional Dhow

Haute Yachts, News | March 22, 2012

Dutch designers Van Geest Design designed a 60-meter superyacht built for practicality and luxury.

Drawing inspiration from the traditional Dhow, it features two deckhouses where most of the yacht’s arrangements are and a lower deck for the crew.

The aft deck house holds the owners quarters and areas for activity while the main deck house encloses the bridge and a saloon with a lounge and dining area. She also has a comfortable beam of just under 10 meters with a draft of 4 meters.

The sail plan of the vessel keeps the Dhow theme alive, which has been developed in conjunction with Formula Marine.
