Haute Couture: Sergio Rossi Unveils 22-Carat Gold and Silver Leaf Stilettos
For the modern-day Cinderella and designer-shoe fanatic (think Carrie Bradshaw), French fashion designer Sergio Rossi has created the ultimate gift: sky-high peep toe shoes made in either 22-carat gold leaf or silver leaf. Expertly handcrafted and finished in crocodile, the Cachet pumps debuted on Dec. 1 in commemoration of Art Basel Miami’s official opening. They’re available only upon request at the Sergio Rossi Bal Harbour outpost or the Rome Sergio Rossi boutiques. While the shoe’s heel height might break an ankle, the price is sure to break the bank. At $9,25 a pair, the recipient better have been nice this year.
