Haute Shopping: Gourmet Italian Ingredient Tastings Across New York City

News | December 17, 2010

Do you know the difference between good Italian olive oil and not-so-good Italian olive oil? Sometimes, it’s tough to tell the difference, that’s why the Italianissimi Project is working to promote awareness of “DOP” and “IGP” products from Italy, which indicate that the products are certified authentic.

But don’t take our word for it! This month and next, Italianissimi will be hosting consumer tastings at various high-end gourmet retailers across the city.

This week, from Dec. 21-27 from 2 to 4 p.m., you can head to Dean & Deluca at 1150 Madison Avenue for tastings of Gorgonzola and proscuitto.
