Relax In Northern Nevada At These 5 Luxurious Reno-Tahoe Spas

Lifestyle, News | February 26, 2019

With a plethora of outdoor recreational activities, a growing cultural scene and legalized gambling (of course), Northern Nevada is a popular getaway for those in the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas. Las Vegas residents are also starting to see the northern light, visiting the Reno-Tahoe area for its pristine blue lake, tree-covered mountains and slower overall vibe.

When it comes to those leaving Las Vegas, jet setters have it easiest since the flight to the Reno-Tahoe International Airport is barely an hour, and the airport itself is relatively easy to navigate. The drive north on U.S 95, on the other hand, is nearly eight hours long, and not too green or scenic. It is, however, dotted with glimpses into Nevada’s history, including ghost towns, brothels and haunted hotels, as well as interesting outdoor art.

Whether you’re heading to the Reno-Tahoe area to hit the slopes, kayak in the Truckee River, hang at the beach, seek out hot springs, win in the casino, embrace your spiritual side at Burning Man two hours north of Reno, or to deal with legislative business 30 minutes away in the state’s capital of Carson City, you eventually need a break. How about a spa day to rest, renew and reboot?

Here are 5 luxurious resort spas in Northern Nevada where you can pamper yourself from head to toe (hair and toenails too). Note: Lake Tahoe is split down the middle by the state line, with California on the west and Nevada on the east. There are lush spas on both sides of the divide, but this article focuses on those in the Silver State.
