10 New Las Vegas Restaurants To Check Out In 2019

New year. New restaurants. Foodies have plenty of reason to rejoice with a bounty of new Las Vegas restaurants opening on the Strip since late last year, and more luxurious concepts yet to open. These acclaimed dining destinations are among the best restaurants in Las Vegas and the world.

From seafood and steak to Szechuan, here are 10 haute restaurants that are new or coming soon to the Las Vegas Strip.

Smith & Wollensky

Opens April 2019

A New York City institution since 1977Smith & Wollensky swaggers onto the Las Vegas Strip for a second time this Spring. The two-story, 14,000 square foot Smith & Wollensky Las Vegas is scheduled to open just steps away from the indoor canal in the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas in April.

Michael Feighery, CEO & President of Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group, opened and managed the first Smith & Wollensky location when it opened in December of 1998. “I cannot wait to return to The Strip with an all-new location,” he said in a press statement. “We are all looking forward to reliving old memories and creating new ones with you soon.”


Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill

Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill debuts at the four-diamond Red Rock Resort in Summerlin on January 25. Led by Executive Chef Fernando Sposato and Executive Sushi Chef Setsuji Mitsui, the contemporary Japanese-style restaurant promises well-known Blue Ribbon classics like Blue Ribbon Style Fried Chicken and Oxtail Fried Rice as well as a sushi bar and a festive beer garden. Design for the indoor-outdoor space was inspired by a meandering Tokyo street scene.

Brothers Bruce and Eric Bromberg originally opened their Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, but it closed in 2017 to make way for their American brasserie Blue Ribbon Las Vegas. The brothers operate more than 20 Blue Ribbon restaurants nationwide, including three Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken locations in Las Vegas.


Sadelle’s

The AAA five-diamond Bellagio Las Vegas welcomed a SoHo favorite this month. Sadelle’s opened last week in a prime location beside the Bellagio Conservatory, which recently debuted its Chinese New Year display. The 10,000-square foot vintage-style restaurant aims to transport diners to a timeless European sidewalk café. Guests can expect roaming cusine and cocktail carts, impressive presentations and New York-style classics like hand-rolled bagels, lox towers, sandwiches and Waldorf, Beverly and Lobster chopped salads tossed tableside.

Sadelle’s is the second Las Vegas restaurant for Major Food Group, which opened Carbone at Aria Resort & Casino in 2015.


The Factory Kitchen

The Factory Kitchen grew out of a long friendship between Restaurateur Matteo Ferdinandi and Chef Angelo Auriana. The Italian trattoria originally opened in a former factory building complex in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District in 2013.

The Factory Kitchen Las Vegas debuted on Restaurant Row at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve.


Mott 32

Opened December 28, 2018

The country’s first Mott 32 rolled into town on December 28, 2018 with a star-studded celebration featuring Justin HartleyJamie ChungKelsey Merritt and Ross Butler. Named for New York’s first Chinese convenience store at 32 Mott Street in Chinatown, the original Hong Kong restaurant is considered a culinary icon in contemporary Chinese cuisine.

Helmed by two-Michelin star Chef Man-Sing Lee and Chef Alan Ji, the Las Vegas location showcases the Cantonese, Szechuan, and Beijing cultures in a spacious multi-room venue that’s drips with luxurious design surprises like feathers and neon. The menu includes signature dishes including a specially-cut whole Peking Duck that must be ordered 48 hours in advance and glazed Barbecue Pluma Iberico Pork.


Vetri Cucina

Chef Marc Vetri opened his Philadelphia-based Vetri Cucina slightly off the Strip at Palms Casino Resort on November 19, 2018. Part of the resort’s $690 million property-wide renovations, the rustic Italian restaurant offers a gorgeous view of the Strip and valley from the top of the Ivory Tower.

Vetri showcases regional antipasti, pasta, meat, fish, and dolci offerings.


Cipriani

Opened November 2018

Italian institution Cipriani opened its first west coast location at Wynn Plaza on November 9, 2018. The sophisticated restaurant dates back through four generations of family to 1931 when Giuseppe Cipriani Sr. opened his quaint Harry’s Bar in Venice, Italy. Guests at Cipriani in Las Vegas can order the original Bellini, invented at Harry’s Bar.


NoMad Restaurant

With a design inspired by the iconic Library of NoMad New York and three-stories of shelves said to include the late David Rockefeller’s book collection, NoMad Restaurant opened on November 14 at the ever-evolving Park MGM and its boutique hotel within a hotel, Nomad Las Vegas.

A signature concept from Chef Daniel Humm and restaurateur Will Guidara, the dynamic duo behind New York’s Michelin-starred Eleven Madison Park restaurant, NoMad Restaurant features American classics, including Humm’s acclaimed NoMad Roast Chicken. James Beard Award-winning Bar Director Leo Robitschek oversees the cocktail program as well as that of Nomad Las Vegas’ newly opened NoMad Bar.


Catch

Seafood, sushi and steak restaurant Catch opened at Aria Resort & Casino after a Hollywood-style Halloween party featuring the likes of George ClooneyCindy Crawford, Kendall JennerJoey FatoneWolfgang PuckMarlon WayansDJ Steve Aoki and many more.  The trendy restaurant attracts A-listers from around the world to its locations in New York and L.A., and now Las Vegas.

Guests enter Catch Las Vegas through an 80-foot-long tunnel-like pergola with plenty of Instagram-worthy photo ops along the way like a wrought-iron bench surrounded by a red rose enclave and elaborate flower-sculpted butterfly wings. The contemporary, nature-inspired dining room has a social vibe with an olive tree at the center.


Red Plate

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas opened Red Plate in October 2018. The original and elegant dining concept directly complements The Cosmopolitan’s high-end gaming parlor, The Talon Club, as well as the exclusive The Boulevard Penthouses and private gaming salon, The Reserve. 

Named as a nod to the Chinese Royal Family, Red Plate offers authentic Cantonese flavors. The kitchen is led by Chef Yip Cheung, who formerly helmed the kitchen at The Talon Club.
