The All-In-One Essential Bag: CHANEL 31
Who doesn’t love a multi-wear bag? CHANEL has nailed it with its brand-new 31 bag. Making its debut at the Fall/Winter 2018/2019 ready-to-wear collection runway show, the multi-style bag takes on different shapes and forms so easily, it’s like having three bags in one.
Exercising his slightly playful side, fashion genius Karl Lagerfeld aptly named the bag not only for the brand’s famed Paris address on Rue Cambon, but also for the famous French expression, “Se metro sur son 31,” which means, “Dressed to the nines,” in English.
Touting contrasting colors and an identifiable CC tourniquet clasp, the CHANEL 31 has three ways of being worn. The first is as a tote with its built-in handles, which may be held in the wearer’s hands. The wearer can also fold it over to use it as an oversized clutch. The bag also comes with a two-tone colored, leather, double-strap, so it may be carried over the shoulder. Always chic, it is perfect for several occasions: on-the-go, a casual night out, practical purposes or as a statement maker. It also comes in various sizes, from extra small to extra large.
Color options in two-tone lambskin include beige and black—the most classic CHANEL look—, pink and red; red and orange; royal blue and hot pink; green and pink beige; pink and pink beige and red and pink beige. It is also available in a shiny, all-black, crushed and quilted calfskin, as well as tweed-and-fabric with autumn leaves print.
