Your New York City holiday bucket list is about to get a lot more colorful thanks to this Willy Wonka inspired cocktail pop-up at NYLO Hotel. Ronald Dahl’s masterpiece has come to life and will be running until January 31st, 2018.Â

Giant lollipops, candy-cane handrails and mushroom seats will set the magical tone in this Willy Wonka land. The bar itself will be turned into an immersive Cocktail Factory, with candy-colored liquid streaming through tubes surrounded by beakers and dry ice. Bartenders will be working on to whip up these holiday-themed cocktail creations which include: Violette, You’re Turning Violette, The Golden Goose, The Sundae Funday, The Goodie Goodie Gumballs, That’s The Ticket, and finally Snozzberries, Taste Like Snozzberries.

“We all remember the thrill of seeing the inside of The Wonka Factory for the first time – and wishing it were actually real,” says General Manager of NYLO New York City, Connie Wang. “We may not have a chocolate river, but our pop-up hopes to awaken your inner child with some of the Wonka magic, while giving New Yorkers a place to gather and be festive for the holiday season.”

Of course no Willy Wonka inspired celebration would be complete without the golden ticket. Five tickets will be hidden in check presenters and given to lucky customers each night. The tickets will be redeemable for two free drinks for the duration of the pop-up.
