With the recent hurricanes we’ve had in Texas, Florida and the Caribbean, efforts to raise funds for relief have been important.

Now, two, great athletes are coming together to raise funds here in the Miami area. KINGS Dinning & Entertainment Doral will be hosting a hurricane relief fundraiser with former Boston Red Sox player David “Big Papi” Ortiz, and his wife Tiffany Ortiz together with Haute 100-lister and former Miami Heat player Ray Allen and his wife Shannon Allen.

The event will take place on September, 27th at 6:30pm benefitting Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. The fundraiser will feature bowling, games, silent & live auctions and more for guests in attendance. Kings features an award winning, executive-chef driven scratch kitchen, upscale Rum Room, 14 tenpin bowling lanes, private bowling suites, a full-service lounge and private dining spaces.

The Allen’s are Miami locals who own and operate Miami’s first 100-percent USDA organic-certified fast food concept, Grown. They plan on helping to rebuild the community after recognizing the impact these storms have had on not just families, but small businesses as well.

Along with being friends with the Allen’s from being in Boston together, David and Tiffany Ortiz recently moved to Miami. David Ortiz was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, which received significant damage from the hurricanes. Both families are promising to rally the Miami area sports scene to raise money to go directly to these hurricane reliefs.

Sponsors for this event include The David Ortiz Children’s Fund and The Ray of Hope Foundation. Click here to purchase your tickets/donate.
