Haute Happenings in Miami this Week: Live Music and Cultural Exhibitions

Miami has a few weeks left of the hottest events of the season taking place throughout the city. To help narrow things down, we’ve decided to round up the most haute happenings in Miami from cultural exhibitions, to live music performances, entertainment and more. Here’s everything you need to know to complete your week:

THE PALM COURT PERFORMANCE SERIES

Palm Court Performance Series

The Miami Design District‘s beautiful Palm Court has launched a new series produced by legendary music icon, Emilio Estefan, taking place every Friday. The event is open to the public, and each week showcases a new up-and-coming music group or artist that Estefan has specifically chosen and curated the event around for an evening of culture and music entertainment and education. Complete the experience by heading over to the producer’s new haute dining destination, Estefan Kitchen, beforehand for happy hour specials from 3-7 p.m.

The prestigious Peréz Art Musem Miami will launch its newest exhibition, Toba Khedoori, on view from April 21st though September 24th, 2017. The exhibition is particularly noteworthy for two reasons: 1. It is the PAMM Director Franklin Sirman‘s first exhibition; and 2. It is the artist’s largest presentation to date. This includes close to 30 works and presents the artist’s more recent oil-on-canvas paintings alongside her earlier large-scale works on paper, demonstrating the impressive arc of her artistic production over the past two decades. The opening night also happens to fall on PAMM’s signature “Third Thursdays” event, where guests can enjoy happy hour specials including drinks, bites and live music as they enjoy the cultural excursion.
