Why LACOSTE Is Returning For The 31st Annual Miami Open

Celebrating its 31st year, the Miami Open will once again bring LACOSTE on board, dressing the linesmen and lineswoman on court with the French brand’s signature sportswear. LACOSTE will return for its second consecutive year as the official sponsor and casual clothing and footwear outfitter of the Miami Open presented by Itau, the international tennis tournament that runs for two weeks each year from late March to early April at Crandon Park.

Onsite and offsite activations will be hosted by the brand at Aventura Mall, Lincoln Road and the Soho Beach House and consumers will have the opportunity to meet and interact with professional LACOSTE tennis players. The exclusive LACOSTE-Miami Open Collection will be making a comeback and the 2016 Sping/Summer Sport Collection will be presented, available for purchase onsite, at the store locations and online.

The brand has created a social media contest for which consumers may share their stories on the impact tennis has made in their lives using the hashtag #BeautifulTennis for a chance to win two tickets to the Miami Open.

Onsite events include the LACOSTE Boutique presented within a branded tent. There, guests can shop LACOSTE’s Spring/Summer 2016 Collection as well as branded Miami Open items. Throughout the tournament, LACOSTE players will be making appearances, signing autographs and be available for photographs.

A live-art installation will be created called the #BeautifulTennis Wall in which visitors may write a life lesson they have learned from sports onto tennis balls, which will then be arranged into the art wall installation.

Select guests will get lucky as the LACOSTE brand ambassadors search the higher level stands for enthusiasm or the sporting of LACOSTE clothing, which will grant them upgraded seats and the chance to be featured on the stadium screens.

Finally, by invitation only, LACOSTE will invite guests to their LACOSTE Suite from which to watch matches and enjoy catered meals and LACOSTE swag.

Away from the open, LACOSTE is building the Pop-up Tennis Court at the center of Aventura Mall where a series of sports-related activities will take place. On Lincoln Road, the brand is hosting an in-store VIP viewing lounge for shoppers at the LACOSTE boutique, Macy’s or Bloomingdales.

To finish off all the brand-related happenings, LACOSTE will host a VIP thirty-minute workout class at the Soho Beach House called the Tennis for Brunch will be held followed by an Aegean breakfast at Mandolin. Last, at an exclusive pool party LACOSTE L!VE and ADDICT team up to create two limited edition sneaker silhouettes in collaboration with @sneakernoxclyde.
