Jay-Z launches massive Tidal music streaming service: Jay-Z made headlines this week by promoting a star-heavy summit and commercial for the music streaming service Tidal. Originally launched by technology firm Aspiro and retailer Platekompaniet in Norway, Tidal (as it’s known in the U.S. and U.K.) is known for its “lossless” streams, music videos and pricey monthly fees. Jay-Z purchased the service for $56m last month in conjunction with Arcade Fire, Beyoncé, Calvin Harris, Coldplay, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Jack White, Jason Aldean, J Cole, Kanye West, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Usher.

Bloomingdale’s announces style icons To celebrate the best of California, Bloomingdale’s is raising a green juice to seven extraordinary guys whose style reflects the motley, majestic City of Angels with a L.A. The following seven gentlemen are featured in the project photographed in their own unique environment including Blake Mycoskie, founder of TOMS; Franklin Sirmans, Curator at LACMA; Johnny Wujek, Celebrity Stylist; actor Manish Daya; chef Roy Choi; Tom Leach, Founder of Media RED; and sunglasses designer Garrett Leight.

The $70 candle’s packaging is said to be inspired by Don Loper’iconic banana leaf wallpaper found at the Beverly Hills Hotel; its scent “blends lemon essential oil, mint essential oil, orchid accord and freesia accord.” It can purchased exclusively at Diptyque Beverly Hills; 10 percent of sale proceeds will be donated to local art nonprofit LAXArt.

Will Ferrell to film Lifetime movie Yes, you read that right. Will Ferrell and fellow comedian Kristen Wiig have teamed up for a top secret Lifetime movie called A Deadly Adoption, which will be a tongue-in-cheek “dramatic thriller” about a successful couple who house and care for a pregnant woman (played by 90210 alum Jessica Lowndes), according to The Hollywood Reporter. The campy fun will also mark Lifetime’s 25th anniversary.
