Sushi + Sake 101 Cooking Class at SUSHISAMBA
SUSHISAMBA in Coral Gables is inviting you behind the scenes of the sushi and sake world. They are now offering their Sushi and Sake 101 program on the last Tuesday of every month. The two-part event includes a five flight premium sake tasting, guided by their expert sake sommelier. Guests will be taught the history and process of sake-making, while learning how to properly pair and enjoy premium sake. The sake is served cold and starts with a Junmai Akita and finishes with a sparkling Okayama sake. Throughout the tasting, guests enjoy appetizers like edamame and tempura before the real fun begins.
Part two of the program includes a sushi-making class led by SUSHISAMBA’s Executive Sushi Chef Yasuo Tujimori. You will get an exclusive demonstration on the selection and preparation techniques of raw fish and an introduction to the history of sushi. Guest will then create and enjoy sushi rolls of their choosing and leave with a book filled with information and recipes for sushi-making at home.
The next dates are April 29, May 27 and June 24 and the program is held exclusively in the private dining room at the Coral Gables location from 7-9 p.m. Tickets are $85 per person and can be reserved at www.sushisamba.com or call 305.448.4990.
