The Miami Heat have done it again – even though they kept fans on the edge of their seats right to the end. After 7 games with the San Antonio Spurs, the Heat clinched the win in the last seconds of the game to become the 2013 NBA Finals Champions. Â LeBron James made 37 points while Dwyane Wade made 23 in the game that finished 95-88.
In a post game interview, LeBron said, “I told myself, ‘don’t abandon what you’ve done all year.'” Adding, “I’m a better player than I was the first time I faced the Spurs,” but “this was the toughest championship.” LeBron’s next step? “I’ve got a wedding coming up, it’s going to be an unbelievable wedding – now that we’ve won!” Post game, team owner Micky Arison took to the stage and congratulated the team, there were the usual locker room champagne baths – this time with white bottles of Moet Ice. Fans took to the street, the players took to the clubs, and, we hear, Shane Battier went to Danny’s.
