Miami Heat Take 3rd NBA Finals Title In Game 7
The Miami Heat have done it again – even though they kept fans on the edge of their seats right to the end. After 7 games with the San Antonio Spurs, the Heat clinched the win in the last seconds of the game to become the 2013 NBA Finals Champions. LeBron James made 37 points while Dwyane Wade made 23 in the game that finished 95-88.
In a post game interview, LeBron said, “I told myself, ‘don’t abandon what you’ve done all year.'” Adding, “I’m a better player than I was the first time I faced the Spurs,” but “this was the toughest championship.” LeBron’s next step? “I’ve got a wedding coming up, it’s going to be an unbelievable wedding – now that we’ve won!” Post game, team owner Micky Arison took to the stage and congratulated the team, there were the usual locker room champagne baths – this time with white bottles of Moet Ice. Fans took to the street, the players took to the clubs, and, we hear, Shane Battier went to Danny’s.
