Miami Beach Getting First Stateside COMO Hotel

COMO Hotels and Resorts, an award-winning five star hotel group from Singapore, known for unparalleled organic luxury is opening their first United States hotel on Miami Beach. The Metropolitan by COMO, Miami Beach is set to open this winter with Javier Beneyto as general manager. Originally from Madrid, Spain, Beneyto was former hotel manager of the acclaimed Villa Magna Hotel in Madrid, general manager at Cocoa Island by COMO in The Maldives, as well as the Halkin by COMO in London.

The 74-room, beachside hotel will be located in an original 1930’s building in the Art Deco district on Collins near 24th, and will feature COMO’s Shambhala wellness area, pool, yoga terrace, hotel dock to Miami Bay, seafood restaurant and contemporary design. Interiors of the hotel will be done Paola Navone, an Italian interior designer who is currently working on COMO’s latest island resort Point Yamu in Phuket, Thailand. The Metropolitan by COMO, Miami Beach gives COMO a total of four urban properties, including the London’s Halkin Hotel, Metropolitan by COMO, London and Metropolitan by COMO, Bangkok.
