Friday Night Clambakes At The Forge
The Forge Restaurant | Winebar may seem like an unlikely place for a clambake, it is indoors and there is not a grain of sand to be found, but every Friday night, it offers up the best, most gourmet take on a clambake just about anywhere. For a fixed menu of $49, diners get three courses and sides by Chef Dewey LoSasso. The menu starts with a choice of Steamed Clams & Mussels, Crispy Chicken Wings, Oyster Po’Boys and New England Clam Chowder. All of them are big winners, but our favorite might have been the wings – they have a totally unique flavor, smack of summer and are easy to share. Entrees include the all-important Grilled Maine Lobster with candied garlic, Grilled Salmon, Grilled and Sliced Hangar Steak and a unique Pomegranate BBQ Chicken. Grilled corn on the cob and red bliss potatoes come for the table. There are 2 desserts to choose from: a fantastic Banana Bread Pudding and tart Lemon Panna Cotta, which are both excellent.
