Jai Rodriguez is an actor and musician who is perhaps best known as the culture guide on Bravo’s Emmy-winning television program Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Born in Long Island, NY, Rodriguez performed with gospel choirs from the age of 11 and studied musical theater at the Boces Cultural Art Center.In 2003, Rodriguez became Queer Eye for the Straight Guy’s resident culture expert, and has appeared numerous times in other television programs. He and the rest of the show’s hosts co-authored the New York Times bestselling book Queer Eye for the Straight Guy: The Fab Five’s Guide to Looking Better, Dressing Better, Behaving Better, and Living Better.

Rodriguez’s career as a stage actor and singer has brought him such roles as Angel in the Broadway Musical Rent, Zanna in the Off-Broadway musical Zanna, Don’t!, among others, including the one night stage show “Jai Rodriguez: xPosed”, which he created and performed. He has also created his own musical cabaret show, “Monday Night Twisted Cabaret” and recorded and released his self-titled debut album in 2009.
