The 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards NYC

The 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York City were held on Saturday, March 24 at the New York Marriott Marquis. The GLAAD Media Awards honors those in media who show fair and accurate representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGTB) community.

The awards show was hosted by Naya Rivera and Cory Monteith of the popular TV show Glee, and featured guest spots from Dakota Fanning, Vinny Guadagnino of Jersey Shore, talk show host Wendy Williams, Olympic Figure skater Johnny Weir, Padma Lakshmi of Top Chef and Haute 100 listers Harvey Weinstein and Lala Anthony.

Among the winners at the GLAAD Media Awards was Lady Gaga, who won the Outstanding Music Artist award for Born This Way and Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, who were presented the Vitto Russo Award for their NBC musical series Smash.

More GLAAD Media Awards will be given in Los Angeles on April 21 and in San Francisco on June 2.
