Bascom-Palmer Eye Institute Celebrates 50th Anniversary
Bascom-Palmer Eye Institute recently celebrated fifty years of eye care with a lavish Evening of Vision gala held at The Breakers.
More than 300 people attended the March 10 event. The evening began with a cocktail reception and silent auction, during which a video streamed of past gala chairwomen and co-chairwomen. After sipping cocktails, guests retreated to the Venetian Ballroom, adorned with thousands of white tulips.
Dr. Terrence O’Brien emceed the event and Bascom-Palmer Eye Institute Chairman Eduardo Alfonso gave brief remarks. Dinner and dancing were set to music by the Alex Donner Orchestra.
