New York Fashion Week: alice + olivia Debuts Gown Collection During Dinner Party Themed Presentation
During New York Fashion Week, there are always collections that are pretty, collections that are fun, collections that are chic, but there is always one that blows you away. This season it was alice + olivia by Stacy Bendet.
The Lolita inspired Fall collection was powerful yet playful with a ‘Coquette Cool’ vibe to go along with the dinner party themed presentation. Heavy on outerwear and knits, the collection included chic cold weather pieces such as calf length frocks, shearling coats, ombre wools and one killer snakeskin leather bomber jacket. Staying true to her quirky yet flirty aesthetic, other stand out pieces included polka-dot patterned circle skirts, cargo pants in metallic leather and platform loafers.
Rich in color, the collection included jewel tones such as emerald green, deep ruby red, midnight blue, lush plum, strong metallics in addition to Bendet’s signature black white color-blocking.
The presentation also included the launch of the alice + olivia Gown collection which was nothing short of stunning. Luxe sequin column gowns, full tulle skirts, but what got everyone buzzing was a body skimming black and white lace gown with a to die for open back.
Guests at the star studded presentation included Kristen Chenoweth, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Kevin & Danielle Jonas, Whitney Port, Krysten Ritter, Nicki Hilton, Ahna O’Reilly, Brad Goreski, Catt Sadler, Andrew Rosen, Robert Verdi, Philip Bloch and more. Those attending the presentation sipped on Belvedere cocktails, Chandon wine and Momofuku Milk Bar treats while taking in the stunning new collection.
Bravo!
