VERTU AND SOTHEBY’S WINE HOST PRIVATE DINNER TO ENLIVEN “LIFE BEAUTIFULLY ARRANGED”

Jamie Ritchie, CEO & President of Sotheby’s Wine and Casey Gorman, Managing Director of Vertu Americas hosted a four-course private dinner on Wednesday evening, December 7th, to communicate Vertu’s brand statement- Life Beautifully Arranged.

Some of Manhattan’s most influential guests including Peter and Carrie Coolidge, Charles Askegard, Tiffany Dubin, James Gardner, Joshua David Stein, Edward Chapman and Brooke Geahan, Dana Hammond and Patrick Stubgen, Euan Rellie, Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia, Sonia Nassery Cole, Amanda Ross and Mike Vilensky received the opportunity to experience Vertu’s newest smartphone, Constellation.

Vertu’s Constellation epitomizes Life Beautifully Arranged with an all-encompassing, personalized concierge service and tailored applications designed for the world traveler. With a sleek touchscreen, the Constellation offers a seamless balance of luxurious design and technology.

The seasonal menu, courtesy of Alain Ducasse’s Benoit was designed to beautifully complement an array of hand-selected wines. For the first course, guests were treated to a Maine Lobster Salad, served with two wine selections- a 2004 Meursalt, Clos de la Barre, Comtes Lafon and a 2006 Puligny Montrachet, Les Combettes, 1er Cru, Domaine Leflaive. A Wild Striped Bass Choisy paired with a 2001 Chambolle Musigny, Amoureuses, 1er Cru, Robert Groffier and a 2006 Echezeaux, Grand Cru, Mugneret-Gibourg followed. The Beef Filet Rossini was presented as the third course and elegantly harmonized with a Chateau L’Evangile and a Chateau Leoville Lascases, both 1990 vintages. The meal was concluded with a Roasted Mango Crumble and an exquisite 1997 Chateau D’Yquem.

Throughout the evening, guests also explored several handcrafted items at The Bespoke Lounge, the richly appointed private custom suit atelier at the David Chu Bespoke Townhouse.
