Haute 100 Update: Diddy and Michael Bay Estimated by Forbes to be Entertainment’s Next Billionaires

Forbes has named two of our Haute 100 Miami members as the next in line to become billionaires in the entertainment industry. Hip hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs and filmmaker Michael Bay were estimated by Forbes editors to cross the million dollar threshold, making them among entertainment’s biggest names.

Rapper, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Diddy made the Forbes list of highest paid hip hop artists earlier this year with an estimated worth of $500 million. He has built an entire empire from his achievements and ventures in music, fashion, and lifestyle products – with an added boost from exposure and revenue from his stake in the Ciroc vodka brand.

Filmmaker Michael Bay has been swimming in fortune since the Transformers franchise of films – in which is has ownership stakes – took the box offices by storm in the past few years. The latest film in the blockbuster series, this summer’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon, grossed $1.11 billion worldwide and became the fifth highest-grossing film of all time. Bay’s net worth is predicted to currently be around $410 million.
