Haute Event: Shine & Swine at the W South Beach

Any good southerner has tried moonshine and now thanks to the release of Original Moonshine the rest of the country can sample this most potent liquor as well. As a part of the South Beach Wine & Food Festival the W Hotel is partnering with acclaimed barbeque chef Adam Perry Lang to host Shine & Swine, a party celebrating the release of the liquor that will be taking place this Thursday, Feb. 24 from 10 p.m. – 1 a.m.

Some of the mixologists who will be on hand along with their concoctions are:

Naren Young; MOONSHINE MILK – Original Moonshine, Nocino (walnut) liqueur, maple syrup, corn-infused Ronnybrook milk that is topped with fresh grated nutmeg  and “drunken corn”

Elad Zvi and Gabriel Orta; SHINE GARDEN – Original Moonshine, fresh cucumber juice, fresh lime juice, sage and honey infused corn

Michael Parish; PEACH SHINE JULEP – Peach-infused Original Moonshine, mint simple syrup, fresh mint leaves, peach bitters and angostura bitters topped with powdered sugar

Camille Austin; SHINE BLOSSOM – Original Moonshine, homemade lavender syrup, fresh squeezed lemon juice, chocolate bitters and lemon-thyme foam  garnished with angostura bitters and a sprig of lemon-thyme
