The White House of Hotels

I love hotels. For some strange reason, settling into foreign digs gives me a charge, not to mention satisfies my wanderlust. Oh, and there’s always room service too.

However, there are those who would rather eat glass than post up in some luxury lodge. For those of you who never wish to leave the comforts of your abode let the Beverly Hills Hotel ease your travel transition. According to Gadling, the famed hotel is adding two Presidential Bungalows to their already sweet suites at the beginning of next year.

Fit for a king if not, then at least the executive branch, these bungalows are sure to be the most luxurious accommodations in Los Angeles, with 5,500 square feet styled in classic California cottage chic design. The Presidential bungalows boast wood beamed ceilings, custom walnut floors, and a dining room with views of a waterfall plunge pool not to mention a swank kitchen, Master Bedroom and bath as well two junior bedrooms. For those who visit southern California during our um, winter, a fireplace in every room will help keep you toasty and warm. Still not convinced?

Well, did I mention the private gardens? The private outdoor shower for two? The butler’s pantry plus private entrance for staff? The study crafted in deco décor? The freestanding bath as well as rain shower with two showerheads? (No reason not to get dirty and clean at the same time.)

How about the walk-in closet with adjoining make-up room? The waterfall pool with underwater speakers? Oh, and did I leave out the high-tech entertainment subsystems that can turn bungalow rooms into Home movie theatres with Bang & Olufsen flat screen televisions? How d’ya like ’em now?

See—if you can’t actually break the laws of physics and travel in your own home, then the Presidential Bungalows can be your home away from home. At least in L.A.
