It wasn’t football on the field at the Cowboys’ state-of-the-art stadium on October 29th. Instead, nearly a thousand people donned their cowboy hats and gala gear and gathered on the turf for the Evening Under the Stars party, benefitting St. Jude’s Research Hospital.  Presented by Mass Mutual, Chili’s and Mike and Diane Gruber, the event was hosted by Good Morning Texas’ Amy Vanderoef, who looked stunning as Mistress of Ceremonies in her Abi Ferrin five-way dress.

Millions were raised via the silent and live auction, the latter of which was hosted by United Country Auction President Mike Jones. Up for grabs in the silent auction:everything from a getaway to the Uptown Ritz-Carlton to tennis lessons to a 41 inch mosaic guitar. The exciting live auction included a week-long stay in Acapulco for 10 people, Superbowl tickets and a trip to Hollywood for a live taping of Two and a Half Men and Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Guests sipped on Grey Goose White Star cocktails and took a turn around the field to taste cuisine from various regions, including comfort food from Atlanta, Texas-style brisket from Dallas, and Pacific temptations from San Francisco. A purchase of a $100 blinking-star pin got attendees in the running for their choice of a day of golf or a two night stay at either Lakeway Resort and Spa or the El Dorado Resort and Casino in Shreveport. At the end of the night, gorgeous country music star Jo Dee Messina performed and finished the event off with a bang.
