Billionaire turned philanthropist, Stewart Rahr, has recently donated $100,000 to the Salvation Army to aid victims of the East Coast’s devastating Hurricane Sandy. Growing up in Brooklyn and then later Queens, Stewart Rahr finds an emotional responsibility to contribute financially to the relief efforts of Hurricane Sandy that shook his hometown. Rahr sold his pharmaceutical distribution company and upon selling created the Rahr Foundation. The Rahr Foundation is dedicated to donating millions of dollars to different charities.
Rahr is currently the most prominent donor of the Metro New York Chapter of the Make-A-Wash Foundation.
