Wondering what to do for Labor Day? How about a wine tasting extravaganza? Or quiet weekend in Carmel? Below, you’ll find more ideas on how to celebrate the last official weekend of summer.

The Giants are home this weekend, so why not catch a baseball game? Before (or after) you head to AT&T Park, be sure to check out the recently opened rooftop bar at the Hotel VIA. The hotel is introducing two new menus on Friday, September 1. Downstairs at Bar VIA, the team is introducing a game day menu. It features elevated takes on ballpark favorites. Think soft pretzel balls with fancy fondue and bacon-wrapped hot dogs with burnt onion soubise and pickled pepper relish. The second menu is being served in the hotel’s rooftop lounge that has great views of the San Francisco skyline. Small plates like jumbo prawn cocktail with housemade kimchi cocktail sauce are now available to enjoy dim sum style.

Want to get out of the city? Head to Carmel-by-the-Sea for a weekend at the PlumpJack Group’s Hideaway. The hotel is a short walk from the beach and charming downtown. On Saturday night, head to the Outdoor Forest Theater for a performance of Peter Pan under the stars. Sunday experience a guided tour through the area’s photography galleries before heading back to the Hideaway for it’s cozy complimentary wine and cheese by the fire pit hour.
