Fall is in the air, and that means it’s the perfect time for pie. We’ve rounded up the five best places to find a perfect piece be it a la cart, after a hearty meal, or to take home for a holiday meal.
1 Fireman Derek’s World Famous Pies
One of the most famous pie shops in SoFla, Fireman Derek’s is an absolute must. Everything from Derek’s famous Key Lime Pie, Oreocheesecake, Smore’s Pie, Carrot Cake, Crack Pie (one taste and your hooked) and Gauva Cheesecake, customers are not subjected to limited options. Our pick? Derek’s Pumpkin cheesecake. Created with a blend of pumpkin and light cream- it's dense enough for the utmost pumpkin pie lover. You might want to order more than a few slices. Unfortunately, these divine treats don’t typically stay on the shelf long enough as customers may wish. They run out quickly because of their perfected flavor, simply by melting in your mouth, one slice at a time.
