Padma Lakshmi and Solange Knowles Partake in Carnaval Craziness with Veuve Cliquot

February 7th saw an extravaganza by Champagne label Veuve Cliquot who took over The Thompson hotel for a chic 6-course VIP brunch and after party. VIPs Padma Lakshmi and Solange Knowles enjoyed the brunch served up by the hotels Michelle Bernstein restaurant, Seagrape. Bottomless glasses of Veuve Cliquot set the party tone at the boozy brunch, that counted Lee Brian Schrager, Emily Ratajkowski, Jamie Chung, William Levy, Chelsea Leyland, and Chef Carla Pellegrino among diners.
Brunch, which included French pastries, omelets, hanger steak, succulent grilled chicken and salads, concluded with the appearance of Brazilian drum players and Samba dancers who led the party from the restraint’s patio to the pool area, which had been festooned with Veuve’s signature orange everywhere.
VIPs continued to enjoy endless bubbly while a new crowd gathered to join in on the fun and games that included a ring toss around Veuve jeroboams, ping pong, and even corn hole played to a soundtrack by live DJ Brendan Falls.
