Mid-Winter Gala Brings SF’s Finest

San Francisco’s most glamorous fête of the year seems to come and go way too quickly.  The Junior Committee of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco held their tenth annua Mid Winter Gala on March 9, 2013 at the Legion of Honor.

This year’s event saluted the Girl with a Pearl Earring: Dutch Paintings from the Mauritshuis. The invite-only event brought no less than the best of San Francisco.  Honorary chairs Trevor Traina, Vanessa Getty, Kathryn Lasater and Allison Speer brought together nearly 400 of the Bay Area’s young art patrons and leaders, including Marissa Mayer and Zach Bogue, Apple’s Sir Jonathan Ive, Twitter CEO Dick Costolo, Yelp co-founder Jeremy Stoppelman,  One Kings Lane co-founder Alison PincusKleiner Perkins’ partner Juliet de Baubigny, actress Connie Nielsen, TV producer Lori Levine, rocker Stephan Jenkins, fashion designers Azadeh Riaz and Karen Caldwell, and Vanity Fair’s Evgenia Peretz.

The Junior Committee of the Fine Arts Museums has been formed to bring together the next generation of prominent young couples and individuals of San Francisco and the Bay Area who have an interest in the arts.
