Stars aligned in honor of the annual Starlight Children’s Foundation Gala, ‘A Stellar Night,’ which took place at the Los Angeles Century Plaza Hyatt Regency Hotel on March 26, 2011. It was an evening filled with inspiration, love, and at times tears from dedicated humanitarians and families who passionately help children and their families who suffer fromserious illnesses.
The evening’s event was co-hosted by child actress and Starlight Star Power spokesperson Bailee Madison, from “Just Go With It” and Jenni Pulos, from Bravo’s “Flipping Out.” The grand turnout of attendees included best-selling author and Starlight Global Ambassador Tony DiTerlizzi, Starlight Spokesperson Corbin Bleu, international photojournalist Melissa Roth, and actresses Chrishell Stause and Brooke Mueller-Sheen.
In recognition of those who have opened their huge hearts for the cause, awards were presented in appreciation of the work and dedication from individuals. Famed and dedicated Philanthropists Kathy, Nicky, and Paris Hilton were presented with the 2011 “Heart of Gold Award” for their combined efforts in raising awareness on helping improve the quality of life for young people suffering from unfortunate illnesses. Also honored at the evening event, Do Won Chang ( Founder and CEO of Forever 21, INC) with the 2011 “Jacki Carlish Humanitarian Award” f9or his incredible support to the foundation last holiday season.
Nintendo of America sponsored this year’s Very Important Kids (VIK) Lounge where adults were invited to bring in their children to teach them about the importance of giving to such causes as the Starlight Foundation and the difference it can make. An array of young celebrities and actors also attended the event to give inspiration alongside the live entertainment from former Starlight child and cancer survivor Zacharia.
The event’s success was possible thanks to many supporters such as California Pizza Kitchen and Nintendo of America Inc.,who were the primary sponsors of “A Stellar Night” Gala.
