Children of Shelters held their 2009 Designer Wreath Auction benefiting homeless children in San Francisco on Thursday December 3rd from 6:30-9:30pm the Presidio Officer’s Club, as they auctioned off actual unique designer wreaths for a good cause. What better way to start the holidays?
Jingle & Mingle kicked off the holiday season with exquisitely decorated designer wreaths by designers including: Adam P Gale, Anamar (Ana Maria) Delgado, Antique & Art Exchange, Applegate Trans Interiors, Arthur McLaughlin and Associates Inc. Interior Design, Artistic Designs for Living, Barbara Scavullo Design, Battersea, Belle Maison, Beryn Hammil Designs, birch, Coup D’Etat, Courtney Hayden, Douglas Durkin, Duque Design Group, elle-meme: vintage and antique jewelry, Fiori, Flowers Claire Marie, Gil Mendez Design, Gump’s, J. Weiss Design, Kelly Keiser Splendid Interiors, KEN FULK, Ken Lindsteadt, Kendall Wilkenson Design & Home, Lila B. Design, Mandy Scott Flowers, Martha Angus, Michael Burg Interiors, Moroso Construction and Feldman Architecture, Nate Berkus Associates and Entertainment, Northbrook Design, Pacchini | Beeton, Paul Robertson Floral Design, Peggy Straley Interior Design, Penelope Rozis Interior Design, Redmond Aldrich Design, Ricky Serbin Haute, Shell Cardon, Shirley Robinson: Painted Finishes, Sue Fisher King, The Charles DeLisle Workshop, Tish Key Interior Design, Tucker & Marks Inc., Wendy Tyndall, Wick Design Group. The materials used ranged from live foliage, steel, mirrors to colorful lights; each capturing the season’s festive and whimsical spirit.
Those who attended the event were treated to amazing food and beverage provided by San Francisco’s finest including: Alex’s Catering, Beautifull, Bix, Garibaldi’s on Presidio, Goodie Goodie Cookies, Pane e Vino, Paxti’s Pizza, Plant Cafe Organic, PopChips, and Spruce. Beverages were provided by: Grey Goose Vodka, JAX Vineyards, PlumpJack Wines, Terra Valentine, and Trumer Pils.
Jingle & Mingle was co-chaired by: Serena Fairchild Sheldon, Summer Tompkins Walker, Lana Adair, Natasha Bradley, Heidi Castelein, Kate Sheridan Chung, Erin Lowenberg and Emily Martin.
All proceeds from this event went to serve the needs of homeless children, providing them with educational and cultural experiences necessary to help them realize their potential. Children of Shelters is a non-profit organization that contributes over 95% of all money raised to the needs and growth opportunities of the children living in the family shelters, as well as the educational and emotional needs of the estimated 4,000 children living in transitional shelters in San Francisco.
