This Non-Surgical Alternative Contours Your Face And Stimulates Collagen Renewal

Editor's Note: Eyelid surgery expert Dr. Keshini Parbhu goes in depth with Haute Beauty about EmbraceRF, a nonsurgical option for skin tightening, fat contouring and Collagen renewal in the face.

HB: What is a new EmbraceRF?

InMode's EmbraceRF is the newest technology I've brought into my practice. This new technology utilizing radiofrequency energy is exciting because it allows doctors to have a nonsurgical option for patients that has REAL results.  FaceTite, Accutite and Morpheus 8 allow for fat contouring, skin tightening and collagen production.  FaceTite is great for addressing the lower half of the face and the neck area.  The newest addition, AccuTite, allows us to address small areas with accuracy including the eyelids, brows, nasolabial folds, submental (double chin) area and the jowls.  Small entry points are all that are needed for the handpieces to enter in to these areas where the radiofrequency energy is released. We know that when tissue gets to a certain temperature, collagen is stimulated.  This allows to deliver facial rejuvenation in a minimally invasive manner.  This means a shorter recovery time as well!

HB: Do you prefer EmbraceRF to other methods?

I don't necessarily prefer it to other methods but I want to offer patients non surgical options because I understand that surgery can be scary!  Not everyone is ready for surgery or ready for the downtime associated with it.  Also, I understand that patients don’t want a “surgical appearance” and want to look natural.

HB: Who is a good candidate?

A good candidate is someone that wants a procedure with minimal downtime and is minimally invasive and wants a nonsurgical appearance. This means having a realistic expectation of the results as well.

HB: How does EmbraceRF work?

Small entry points are are made for the handpieces to enter into the areas where the radiofrequency energy will be released.  We use the AccuTite in small areas and areas in which we don't want to enter into deeper tissue - this includes the eyelids, brows, submental (double chin) area, and jowls.  The FaceTite is a larger handpiece used for the lower face and neck. We know that when tissue gets to a certain temperature, collagen is stimulated.  The heat also allows for fat contouring and skin tightening. I sometimes also combine this with Morpheus8 radiofrequency microneedling of the skin as an added "layer" to help skin textural issues and also help with collagen stimulation at other levels of the skin.

HB: What does recovery look like?

Two to three days of swelling is typical.  Depending on what area of the face is treated, we ask that patients keep a compressive wrap for anywhere between 24-72 hours and then nightly for one to three weeks.  Typically, most patients can go to work three days later without it being obvious they had anything done.
