The Best Makeup Moments from the Golden Globes

The makeup took centerstage at the 2018 Golden Globes thanks to a mostly-black fashion backdrop, and there was no shortage of bold lips and radiant skin. Here, a few of our favorite makeup looks—and how to recreate them yourself.

The actress: Millie Bobby Brown
The makeup artist: Kelsey Deenihan for Kiehl’s and Avon
Skin: Kelsey prepped Millie's skin with Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate and Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado. To combat unwanted shine and control oil on her t-zone, Kelsey applied Kiehl’s Micro-Blur Skin Perfector and Kiehl’s Facial Fuel No-Shine Moisturizing Lip Balm on her lips.
Face: Kelsey applied La Prairie Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation with a damp sponge to the face and décolletage. To add definition to the cheeks, she used Avon True Color Transforming Contouring Stick in Medium followed by the Avon True Color Illuminating Stick and Avon Powder Highlight for an extreme glow on the cheekbones.
Eyes: Avon True Color Glimmersticks Eyeliner in Blackest Black was used along the top lashline and extended slightly upward at the ends to create a subtle flick. To finish the eyes, Kelsey applied a couple generous coats of Avon True Color Wide Awake Mascara.
Lips: To accentuate Millie's natural rosy lip color, Kelsey used Kiehl's Butterstick Lip Treatment.

The actress: Kaley Cuoco
The makeup artist: Jamie Greenberg
Skin: Jamie used Crème de La Mer, Nerium Eye-V Moisture Boost Hydrogel Patches and Lanolips 101 Ointment to prep Kaley’s face and lips.
Face: Cover FX Blurring Primer and Cover FX Natural Finish Foundation were applied to create a soft focus, airbrushed look. Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in Blossom were then patted along Kaley's cheeks and Cover FX Shimmer Veil in Amethyst was layered on top. Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder was use to finish the look and help it last throughout the night.
Eyes: Jamie applied Cover FX Glitter Drops in Aurora and Shimmer Veil in Magic on Kaley's lids and used Shimmer Veil in Celestial on top of both and in the corners of her eyes. Make Up Forever Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow was used to create a strong, bold cat eye along with Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara along with Ardell Corner Lashes in 318. Her brows were filled in with Thrive Causemetics Infinity Waterproof Eyebrow Liner.
Lips: Shimmer Veil in Magic was patted along Kaley's lips and topped with clear gloss.

The actress: Natalie Portman
The makeup artist: Melanie Inglessis
Skin: To prepare the skin, Melanie applied a few drops of Dior Capture Youth Glow Booster Age-Delay Illuminating Serum followed by Dior Capture Totale Dreamskin Advanced.
Face: Using a wet beauty sponge, Melanie pressed Diorskin Forever Undercover Foundation into the skin. She then mixed Diorskin Forever Undercover Concealer and Dior Flash Luminizer to create luminosity under the eyes. Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Powder was applied to the cheeks for a touch of shimmer.
Eyes: Melanie first used the lightest color in the Dior 5 Couleurs #537 on the brow bone for a very subtle highlight. Then, the light camel shade was applied on the lid before the darkest brown shade was used on the upper and lower lash lines. The eyes were intensified with Dior Eyeliner Waterproof on both lash lines for a smoky effect. Finally, Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Powder was dusted on the lids for some shimmer, and the look was finished with two coats of Diorshow Mascara and Dior All-In-Brow 3D.
Lips: Dior Creme De Rose was applied to the lips while the skin was being prepped, and Melanie created a nude lip using Rouge Dior Liquid.

The actress: Michelle Pfeiffer
The makeup artist: Brigitte Reiss-Andersen
Skin: Before applying any base, Brigitte moisturized the face with Koh Gen Do Macro Vintage Royal Massage Milk. Face: To start, Brigitte used the Maifanshi Moisture Concealer palette to create a customized shade to brighten the area under Michelle’s eyes. She then applied the Maifanshi Aqua Foundation with the Liquid Foundation Sponge for a flawless real-skin finish. Brigitte used the Maifanshi Aqua Foundation Illuminator in Sheer Pink to enhance Michelle’s cheekbones and add a fresh radiance to the skin. Finally, she set the foundation with Maifanshi Face Powder and applied a swirl of orange and rose blushes from the Maifanshi Mineral Cheek Palette.
Eyes: Koh Gen Do Long Lush Treatment Mascara was used to add volume, length and curl to Michelle’s lashes.
Lips: Brigitte applied Maifanshi Lip Crayon in Coral Pink for a soft, natural look.
