The former protégée of Larry Ellison became Founder and CEO of Salesforce in 1999, which is now one of the top five software companies in the world. In 2000, he launched The Salesforce. com Foundation, which introduced a philanthropic approach adopted by many tech companies. He and his wife have donated over $100 million to the University of California San Francisco to build a new children’s hospital.
