Welcome to the famed Autobahn, an intricate system of motorways connecting various German regions and cities. Only a few vehicles have the power, stability, braking capacity, and the efficiency to accelerate up to 205 mph in a short cycle of time and decrease speed profusely before hitting impending traffic. For the rest it’s an untenable position. The 2013 Continental GT Speed which now becomes Bentley’s fastest production vehicle ever is amongst this elite few. Why, it only has a top speed of 205 mph.

There must be over 20 current models of BM Ws, what with the 1s, 3s, 5s, 6s and 7s, all the X-variants, the SUV types and the M-model hot rods, not to mention the Alpina B7, the mother of all Big Bimmers. Into this assemblage gracefully slides BM W’s newest body style, the Gran Coupe (note the lack of the “D” and the absence of an accent mark). While others (like Mercedes-Benz and Audi) have had a sleek touring version of their four-door sedans for a while, BM W just joined the svelte party but, to the eye of many, it was worth the wait.

Legendary Italian jeweler Bvlgari celebrated its induction into the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style® with a glam party at its new Rodeo Drive location on December 5. Vice President Nicola Bulgari accepted the award on behalf of his brand from Drew Barrymore, the daughter-in-law of longtime friend Arie Kopelman.

Westime celebrated the opening of its Sunset Boulevard flagship with a party co-hosted by Haute Time publishers Seth Semilof and Kamal Hotchandani. O’Gara Coach provided a line-up of luxury automobiles at the event, while DJ Nicolas Le Masson played vintage lounge music to the crowd of tastemakers.

The on-again, off-again couple of Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana posed happily on December 7 as they attended an intimate soiree at Chateau Marmont for his Golden Globe-nominated film, Silver Linings Playbook. The Weinstein Company hosted the A-list dinner party, which counted Lexus and Purity Vodka among its sponsors.
